Over the years I travelled in many parts of the globe, including northern India, Thailand, Hong Kong, Bali , USA, Canada, Malaysia, Indonesia, Burma (as was then) China, Fiji and Sydney. After spending 4 months in this wonderful city, I travelled overland to Melbourne and along the Great Ocean Road to Adelaide, then north to Uluru and Alice Springs, across to Cairns and back to Darwin. After further travels around South East Asia, I returned to Sydney for another four months before returning to the UK via Hawaii and mainland USA.

My first experience of long haul travel came at the age of 19 when as a student I decided to head off to India for the 6 week summer break. Given the complete culture shock involved with a trip to this part of the world this proved to be an experience I was woefully unprepared for but it gave me one lasting thing, a passion for travel.

Ever since I was a child, travelling has been a very important part of my life. My first real trip overseas was as a 7 year old, backpacking with my parents and two older sisters around France. This for me was when I discovered the travel bug and found the sense of adventure to visit destinations further afield.

My passion for travel started at a young age when I went on a school exchange to Philadelphia in USA for 2 weeks and we also took family holidays abroad most years.In 2006 I set off on my around the world trip first visiting San Francisco, Las Vegas and Los Angeles before flying to Fiji and the Cook Islands for a taste of paradise! I then toured New Zealand before flying to Australia to start my year exploring the country. Since returning from my travels I have been lucky enough to find a job where I can use my passion and now specialise in Australia and New Zealand.
