Tanzania, Zanzibar & Islands
Located just off the Tanzania coast, the Zanzibar Archipelago consists of two main islands (Zanzibar and Pemba) and numerous small islands.
Zanzibar has a long trading history and the old stone town is now a World Heritage Site, preserving much of this heritage. It is also known as Spice Island after the many spices grown on here including cloves, nutmeg, cinnamon and pepper.
It was also the starting point for many of the early exploratory trips into Africa by famous explorers such as David Livingstone.
Today you can enjoy the beauty of this area with its crystal clear seas, excellent diving, beautiful beaches from some luxury beach properties offering a range of accommodation. Detailed here are just a few of those hotels which we think would appeal to you as well as Ras Kutani, a delightful property on the Tanzanian coast south of Dar es Salaam.
