Jack’s Camp & San Camp, Kalahari

Situated on the edge of the Makgadikgadi Pans, deep in the Kalahari Desert, Jack’s Camp and San Camp are the only permanent camps offering the opportunity to explore the Kalahari. The luxury camps, which accommodate a maximum of 12-20 guests, offer great comfort in spacious classic 1940’s style walk-in tents.

The camps offer a remarkable desert experience with, in the dry season, day and night game drives by vehicle or quad bike, and walks with bushmen to view rare desert species such as the habituated wild meerkat. The Makgadikgadi is one of the most important wetland sites in Africa and, in the wet season, attracts remarkable flocks of flamingo and migratory birds. It is also possible to see a vast migration of wildebeest and zebra.
