Okavango Riding Safari

Okavango Riding Safari

A remote and exciting safari into the Okavango Delta

The Okavango Delta is undoubtedly the most outstanding of Botswana’s natural wonders, a 15,000-square kilometre wilderness of floodplain and forest interlaced with lagoons and waterways, and teeming with game and birds. A riding safari through this spectacular wetland sanctuary is an exciting and memorable experience.

Safaris of varying length take you into the heart of the Okavango where vehicles are unable to venture. Based in a comfortable lodge or camp, often with sorties to outlying fly camps, most mornings are spent in the saddle following the game, leaving the afternoons free to swim, bird watch, fish or simply relax.

Nothing equals the thrill of cantering beside giraffe or moving quietly through great herds of buffalo and lechwe, and a riding safari is a rare opportunity to experience nature at very close hand.
