Kenya Riding Safari
From the Loita Hills to the Masai Mara
To explore Kenya’s rolling Loita Hills and the endless expanse of the Mara plain, whilst riding amongst teeming herds of game, is an experience of a lifetime.
Most rides, which cross Maasailand with its endless savannah, riverine woodland and proud tribe’s people, are led by Tristan Voorspuy. His horses are well schooled, even tempered and familiar with being amongst big game. The going underfoot is generally good, with ample opportunity for long gallops, though you may spend up to eight hours at a time in the saddle so need to be a competent rider.
Although nights are spent under canvas, far from civilisation, no comforts are spared in the camp sites, and your ride ends with the colonial splendour of Deloraine, one of Kenya’s most beautiful homesteads, on the lower slopes of the Rift Valley - the perfect finale.
