North Luangwa National Park
Kutandala, North Luangwa
The North Luangwa National Park may not be as well known as it more illustrious neighbour, but is sanctuary to equally prolific concentrations of game and birds. Set on the banks of the Mwaleshi River in the heart of the park, Kutandala Camp offers the ultimate safari for those seeking truly remote wilderness.
Here, in this wildly remote and inaccessible corner of the country, Rod and Guz Tether have created a rustic, low-key bush camp, which accommodates just six guests in comfortable ‘rooms’ with sweeping views of the river and its flood plain. There are no roads to speak of so all game viewing is on foot, but this will be rewarded by frequent lion and buffalo sightings.
