Ultimate Zambia

This is the classic Zambian safari, incorporating small, private camps, day and night game drives and accompanied walks, all in search of some of the most diverse and prolific wildlife imaginable.

Much of the safari is spent in a number of locations in the Luangwa Valley and the world-renowned South Luangwa National Park - 6,000 square miles of classic bush country dissected by the mighty Luangwa River, which supports huge concentrations of wildlife and is the place to see big game on foot. You then fly, via Lusaka, to the Lower Zambezi National Park where the game viewing is exceptional with a large variety of mammals, birds and reptiles.

The safari ends with a few days relaxation at a wonderful riverside lodge upstream from the Victoria Falls on the banks of the Zambezi River.

Sample itinerary

Day 1: Depart London.  Days 2/4: Arrive Lusaka and fly to the Luangwa Valley. Day and night game drives and walking safaris. Overnights at Robin Pope Safaris' Nsefu Camp.  Days 5/7: Fly to Lower Zambezi via Lusaka. Day and night game drives, bush walks, canoeing, fishing. Overnights Chongwe River Camp.  Days 8/10: Fly to Livingstone via Lusaka. Explore the Victoria Falls, boat trips, canoeing. Overnights Tongabezi Camp.  Days 11: Fly to London via Johannesburg.
