Zambia Walking Safari

The ultimate walking safari with Robin Pope Safaris.

Robin Pope started his safari operation in the Luangwa Valley nearly three decades ago, and his wildlife camps and 'mobile' walking safaris are now renowned worldwide. The 'valley', which attracts huge concentrations of game, remains perhaps Africa's finest area for seeing big game on foot.

After two nights at Nkwali, Robin's camp of six chalets set in ebony woodland overlooking the grassy plains of the Luangwa, you set off on a spectacular 5-day walking safari in the remote northern reaches of the South Luangwa. The party is limited to just six, so you benefit fully from the guide's knowledge of the bush, and a carefully sited and fully staffed, 'mobile' camp awaits you at the end of each day.

The safari ends with three nights at Tena Tena, Robin's impeccable flagship camp in the shade of mahogany trees on the banks of the Luangwa River.
