Tanzania
No Tanzanian holiday is complete without a big five safari tour of the Serengeti and Ngorongoro Crater national parks in Northern Tanzania, which is also home to Africa’s highest mountain peak, Mount Kilimanjaro. Visit the less famous but equally attractive southern Tanzanian parks including the Selous Game Reserve or take a Ruaha, Katavi and Mahale safari in the remote west to see chimpanzees.
There is no shortage of wildlife in Tanzania and never is this seen more clearly than at the start of the Great Migration when two million wildebeest and zebra make their way north from the plains of the Serengeti.
Bush walks are a wonderful way to feel at one with nature and are an absolutely thrilling safari experience. Although they are not permitted within the northern parks, you can enjoy this experience in some selected northern sites outside of the parks or within the southern parks.
Tanzania has an excellent bush and beach combination with some fantastic safari available followed by a choice of excellent properties on the nearby island of Zanzibar making it an attractive honeymoon option.
