Northern Tanzania is classic Africa on a grand scale, and was the natural choice in deciding upon an ‘ultimate’ itinerary for Tanzania.

You begin in the lesser-known Tarangire National Park, which is beautifully unspoiled with acacia forest, gently rolling savannah, spectacular views and diverse wildlife. From here you fly to the Ngorongoro Crater, an African ‘garden of eden’ hemmed in by high crater walls, before continuing to the vast Serengeti with its tremendous diversity of fauna and flora. Here, traditional mobile camps move seasonally to provide the best game viewing possible, and to keep up with the advancing herds of the greatest wildlife spectacle on earth - the annual wildebeest migration.

A few days relaxation on the magical island of Zanzibar, with its beautiful beaches and excellent diving, provides the perfect end to your tour.

Day 1: Depart London Nairobi.  Days 2/4: Arrive Nairobi and fly to Tarangire National Park via Kilimanjaro. Overnights Oliver's Camp.  Days 5/6: Fly to Ngorongoro Crater. Overnights Plantation Lodge Days 7/9: Fly to the Serengeti. Overnights Serengeti Safari Camp.  Days 10/13: Fly to Zanzibar. Overnights Matemwe Bungalows.  Days 14/15: Fly to London via Nairobi.
