This captivating journey is the perfect introduction to Namibia, and encompasses the very best of this spectacular country, from its wind-swept western coast to its desert dunes and game-rich plains.

You begin in the astonishing sand seas of Sossusvlei where the dunes can rise to a staggering 330 metres, before continuing to the NamibRand Nature Reserve, an area of dramatic beauty with bright red dunes flanked by vast open plains and craggy mountains. You then fly north, with wonderful aerial views of the dramatic Skeleton Coast, to Damaraland, a wild and remote wilderness that is home to desert elephant and black rhino, before ending this wonderful journey with more traditional game viewing in the Etosha National Park, a vast area of grass plains, woodland and salt pans, which is home to a wide variety of mammals, reptiles and birds.

Sample itinerary

Day 1: Depart London.  Days 2/3: Arrive Windhoek and fly to Sossusvlei.  Overnights Little Kulala.  Days 4/5: Drive to NamibRand Nature Reserve.  Overnights Wolwedans Dunes Lodge.  Days 6/8: Scenic flight to the Damaraland. Overnight Damaraland Camp.  Days 9/10: Fly to Ongava. Overnights Ongava Tented Camp.  Day 11: Fly to London via Windhoek.
