Rwanda Gorilla Safari

Rwanda is a thriving, lush country with awe-inspiring mountainous landscapes and an impressive array of wildlife. This five-day experience introduces you to Kigali, Rwanda's modern but scenic capital city, before a thrilling encounter in Volcanoes National Park with a view of mountain gorillas in their natural habitat.
On arrival in Kigali you will receive a safari briefing at the Kigali Serena Hotel where you will spend your first night. Ideally located on one of Kigali's most charming boulevards, the five-star Kigali Serena Hotel is built around a polished granite atrium, which showcases the very best of Rwandese cultural art.
In the morning you will depart for Parc National des Volcans, or Volcanoes National Park. The journey north passes through beautiful terraced hillsides, a scene typical of Rwanda's landscapes. You will reach the base of the awe-inspiring Virunga volcanoes, a mountain range of truly spectacular views. You will spend the next two nights at Volcanoes Virunga Lodge, a luxury eco lodge overlooking the Virunga volcanoes and shimmering lakes Ruhondo and Bulera.
The next day you will experience the highlight of a visit to Rwanda - gorilla trekking in Volcanoes National Park. Tracking the gorillas through the light mountain forest on the slopes of the Virungas is a magical truly experience. Simply observing these impressive creatures in their natural habitat is an unforgettable sight.
The journey will end in Kigali with a tour of the city's highlights including colourful markets, museums, local pottery and crafts.
