Aman Resorts
The prestigious Aman group has now opened a luxury hotel in Beijing and another near Hangzhou in China.
Amanfayun, near Hangzhou
Amanfayun lies hidden in a valley to the west of West Lake just 20-minutes drive from the centre of Hangzhou in the village of Tianzhu.
Two stately courtyard houses dating back to the 1800s have been carefully linked to become the resort's main meeting area. The Restaurant tucked away behind a grove of evergreens, is the only outlet which serves Western cuisine. The Tea House provides traditional tea service along with a variety of handmade sweet and savoury snacks and Hangzhou House is a casual, authentic eatery providing traditional fare in a simple, picturesque setting.

Amanfayun offers 42 rooms, suites and villas located within the property. Due to the unique nature of the structures, no two rooms are identical. Amanfayun's Aman Spa consists of five separate buildings surrounded by bamboo groves, tea bushes and Magnolia trees. Massage and body treatments draw from traditional Chinese massage and reflexology, as well as from ancient Asian healing therapies.
