Fly south to the burgeoning city of Shanghai, where the french quarter and the grand architecture of the 1920's and 30's sits alongside today's glass towers. Move on to Xi'an, China's ancient capital and the wondrous spectacle of the Terracotta Army.

The next stop is the beautiful Yunnan province, home to many ethnic minority groups. Journey from the quaint town of Lijiang to Zhongdian on the Himilayan Plateau, home to the tibetan people. On the way witness the Yangzte River in its infancy thundering through the dramatic Tiger Leaping Gorge. Finally enjoy a well-earned rest amidst the paddy fields and iconic limestone peaks of Guilin and Yangshou, where this wonderful journey ends.
