Indonesia
A vast archipelago encompassing more than 17000 islands, Indonesia is a tropical paradise with landscapes differing from island to island, but all equally as enticing.
Fringed by endless stunning beaches, Bali also has a beautiful interior of lush green rice terraces sloping towards a volcano at its centre. Lombok, Bali's less visited neighbour has fascinating temples, unspoilt beaches, and just a short boat ride away, the Gili Islands offer pristine white sand beaches and excellent diving opportunities.
Java's peak of Mt Bromo constantly belches white sulphurous smoke over the surrounding volcanic landscape, while further west, the vast Buddhist temple of Borobudur stands proudly as Indonesia's most breathtaking monument.
Sulawesi is a region of dramatic contrasts; rugged volcanic peaks, glistening white beaches, ancient tribal cultures and excellent diving. Kalimantan in southern Borneo is the perfect place to see the endangered orang-utans and Komodo National Park to go in search of the Komodo dragon, the largest lizard in the world.
