Colonial Cuba

An exploration of Cuba’s colonial past

This leisurely journey through Cuba’s spectacular landscapes links the tobacco growing regions of the Viñales Valley with the picturesque cobbled streets, colonial palaces and sugar plantations of Trinidad. It also offers a wonderful insight into the rich cultural roots of the island and the extraordinary ethnic melting pot and diversity of its people.

No visit to Cuba would be complete though without a few days to explore the capital of Havana, the shining jewel with its kaleidoscope of baroque, art deco and modernist architecture. Part decaying and part restored, the genius of this vibrant city lies in its iconic artists and revolutionaries who have given the world the music of the Buena Vista Social Club, the classical dance of Carlos Acosta, the writings of Ernest Hemingway and the mythic image of Che Guevara.
