The Spirit of Sicily

The Spirit of Sicily

Once ruled by a number of different civilisations including Greeks, Romans, Asians, Africans and Europeans, Sicily - the Mediterranean's largest island - has an interestingly multicultural history and an exquisite volcanic landscape. From baroque churches, palaces, piazzas, cathedrals, ancient Roman theatres and mountain-top settlements, this ten day tour truly encapsulates the true spirit of Sicily's beautiful and intriguing past and present.

On this journey led by our extremely knowledgeable tour leader, Canon Eric Woods; Vicar of Sherborne, you will discover the enchanting town of Ragusa Ibla, the art-rich exuberance of Palermo, the great cathedral of Mazara del Vallo and Syracuse, one of the most important cities of the Greek World.
