The journey begins in Egypt’s vibrant capital, Cairo, with its fine museum, which houses the treasures of Tutankhamun’s tomb, Great Pyramid and Sphinx, fine mosques and bustling bazaars. You then fly south to Luxor to board a luxury river vessel for a 5-day cruise on the River Nile.

Your voyage begins by exploring some of the country’s finest sights, from the Temples of Ramses and Karnak to the mausolea of the Pharaohs on the West Bank in Luxor, once ancient Thebes and capital of Egypt for a thousand years. You then journey gently along the river past the impressive temples of Edfu and Kom Ombo to Aswan, where this remarkable journey ends with the imposing Aswan High Dam, the exquisite temple of Philae and the beautiful islands and cataracts of this delightful river-side resort of yesteryear.
