You begin in the vibrant city of Cairo, with its fascinating Museum of Antiquities and the Great Pyramids of Giza, before flying south to Luxor, ancient city of Thebes and site of the great Temples of Ramses and Karnak, and the Valley of the Kings where the tombs of the Pharaohs are located.

Embarking on a classic 5-day cruise on the River Nile, you sail past beautiful Ptolemaic temples to the enchanting town of Aswan to visit the imposing High Dam, the exquisite Temple of Philae and the delightful islands in the river here. The magnificent finale to this absorbing tour is an excursion by air to the great temple of Abu Simbel on Lake Nasser.
