Kasbah Xaluca
Situated just outside the town of Erfoud, in the last part of Morocco colonized by the French, Kasbah Xaluca is the perfect base from which to explore the Erg Chebbi dunes at Merzouga on the edge of the Sahara. Designed and constructed using traditional southern Moroccan methods, this distinctive hotel offers great comfort in very individual surroundings.
Each of the 134 spacious and comfortably appointed bedrooms is decorated with local materials, including fossil-design bathroom furniture, creating a truly original ambience. A comfortable lounge bar is the perfect place for guests to relax and enjoy traditional mint tea, whilst the restaurant and a Moroccan dining room offer a choice of international and typical local dishes.
The hotel has a variety of other amenities including a swimming pool, tennis court and fitness centre (under construction). In addition an excellent choice of activities may be arranged, such as 4X4 safaris in the mountains or desert, quad biking on the dunes, treks or riding in the foothills and valleys of the Atlas Mountains.
