Colombia

Located in northwestern South America, Colombia is the continent's only country with coastlines stretching out into the Atlantic and the Pacific Oceans. A visit to the Caribbean coast will lead you to Cartagena, a UNESCO world heritage site with an undeniably dreamlike quality guaranteed to win over any traveller.  Wander aimlessly through the charming cobbled streets, take a horse-drawn carriage ride around the leafy courtyards and enjoy a drink in the open-air cafes.  There is much to admire in Cartagena, and even more atmosphere to bask in;  this historic city with its colonial architecture and enchanting demeanour will certainly prove difficult to leave.
