The jungles of the vast Amazon Basin extend from Brazil to the eastern slopes of the Andes, so if you're travelling to Ecuador, Peru or Brazil why not spend a few days at a jungle lodge or on a river boat exploring the natural wonders of the rainforest.

Activities in the Amazon include guided hikes along jungle boardwalks, river excursions to clay licks where macaws congregate in vast numbers, fishing for piranhas and night-time canoe sorties in search of caiman. Some lodges also feature canopy towers or canopy walks suspended high above the jungle floor and giving you access to the amazing wildlife at treetop level.
