Anavilhanas Jungle Lodge, Brazil

Anavilhanas Jungle Lodge is a small and charming lodge located in the heart of the Amazon Basin. Close to the greatest river archipelago in the world where some 400 islands stretch over 90 kms, this area is home to an abundance of plant and animal life and is a paradise for biologists, ecologists and tourists alike.

There are 16 suites, all of them equipped with air conditioning, hot water, a fridge and an inviting porch. The architecture is in keeping with its surroundings - lots of straw and suspended wooden structures, with cozy rooms where all you will hear are the sounds of the rainforest. The deck and pool area is adjacent to the river in pleasant, shaded gardens. During your stay all excursions are included including boat trips along tributary rivers, alligator spotting, forest hikes and piranha fishing to swimming with Amazon river dolphins or visiting local indigenous communities.
