December, January and February

Specialising in long haul travel, the winter months are definitely the busiest time for us at The Ultimate Travel Company with many of our destinations being in peak season at this time. Travel at this time is equally as popular for the health benefits of escaping a British winter!

Africa & Arabia: East Africa and the Cape area of South Africa are good destinations at this time as well as Egypt in the north.  Oman is better towards the end of winter.

Indian Ocean: Although Mauritius and the Seychelles get more rain over the winter month, they also have good temperatures and are popular destinations.  The Maldives are ideal at this time.

Central America & Caribbean: The winter months are peak time for travel to Central America and the Caribbean.

South America: It is also peak season in South America except for Bolivia and Guyana (better from late winter).  Peru is still a popular destination in the winter months although there is more chance of rain.

Indian Subcontinent: Bhutan and Nepal are better from February onwards but India and Sri Lanka are excellent destinations throughout the winter.

South-East Asia: With the exception of Borneo, the winter months are a good time to visit the countries of South-East Asia.

Indo-China: A very good destination at this time.

Australasia: An excellent time to visit Australia and New Zealand.

Antarctica: The best time for an Antarctic cruise.
