Introducing a 'once-in-a-lifetime' exploration with experts from the Royal Botanic Gardens, Kew.

The Ultimate Travel Company are delighted to introduce a very unique journey to Central America with tour leader Amelia Dalton and experts from Royal Botanic Gardens, Kew.

On board the small expedition ship, the MS Island Sky, this 16 day expedition will take you to Costa Rica, Panama, Grand and Little Cayman, Belize, Guatemala and Honduras.  With visits to secluded islands, ancient forests, undisturbed coastal communities and the infamous Panama Canal, this experience encapsulates the rare and diverse flora and fauna of Central America and is a must for anyone who would relish the opportunity to visit the exotic plants of Kew in their natural habitat.

As well as visiting restricted access areas of overwhelming natural beauty, the tour provides and up-close look at rare native plants such as The Agave caymanesis and silver thatch palm of the Cayman islands, to intriguing species of wildlife including red-footed boobies and critically endangered blue iguanas.

This expedition provides a behind-the-scenes look at Kew's work in Central America and demonstrates how Kew strive to make a difference not only to the world's plant life, but   local communities as well.  With two Kew experts on board including the highly knowledgeable Dr Colin Clubbe, this tour is an insight into projects that very few are able to see.
