Les Jardins de la Medina, Marrakech

In the historical heart of Marrakech, not far from the vibrant souks of Djemaa el Fna, this tastefully renovated princely residence offers all the comforts of a modern hotel within the walls of a traditional riad.

A former prince’s palace hidden behind high walls in the southwest of the medina, Les Jardins de La Medina reflects a harmonious balance between the past and present. The 36 traditionally furnished but nonetheless elegant rooms, some of which have open fireplaces and private terraces, radiate out around a delightful garden courtyard. Here a swimming pool - heated in winter - nestles behind a row of bitter-orange trees, in the cool shade of ancient palms and jacarandas. A delicious buffet breakfast plus lunch and dinner are served either in the restaurant, adjacent to a comfortable bar with open fireplace, or on a terrace overlooking the garden.

It has a privileged location between the two Royal Palaces in the Kasbah area, ensuring guests have easy access to all the major tourist sights. Between excursions, you’ll be able to enjoy quiet relaxation amidst the hotel’s luxuriant gardens. Solariums, a fitness centre and hammam are also available, as well as several rooftop terraces where you can drink in uninterrupted views over the bustling medina.
