ARIYASOM VILLA, BANGKOK

WONDERFULLY RELAXED VIBE

Built around an old family home from the 1940s, today Ariyasom Villa stands as a fine heritage hotel with a superb location in Bangkok’s frenetic downtown.

Filled with traditional architecture and family furniture, Ariyasom has a wonderfully relaxed vibe in the heart of the cosmopolitan city. The high ceilings, teak floors and Thai silk drapes exude the elegance and romance of bygone Bangkok, whilst the warm welcome from the friendly owners (who live just upstairs) make for an inviting stay. The 24 charming rooms are spread over four low rise buildings and are all tastefully designed with characterful Thai touches in keeping with the rest of the property. Many have balconies overlooking the tropical gardens.

The well-respected Na Aroon restaurant is known for serving up fresh, tasty and predominantly vegetation dishes, including hearty breakfasts for guests venturing out on a busy day of sightseeing. The lovely outdoor saltwater pool is perfect for cooling off in between temple visits and street food tours, whilst the Som Sen Spa offers traditional Thai massages in its open-sided sala. A small exercise room caters for the fitness enthusiast.
