The climb was relentless and far tougher than any of us had envisaged, but our efforts were rewarded by a picture-perfect sunrise and wonderful views across the plains of East Africa some two vertical miles below us.

Expedition member, Erica Austin (who was the first of our team to reach the summit), wrote a daily blog on our 7-day adventure - beyondthispointaredragons.blogspot.com.  Essential reading if you are planning to follow in our footsteps!

Kilimanjaro

There are now seven of us at The Ultimate Travel Company who have summitted Kilimanjaro, so we are very well placed to offer first-hand and expert advice to anyone who is tempted by the challenge.
