After one night in Nairobi, you’ll set off for a three-night stay at the totally private Laragai House in Laikipia. Enjoy adventure-filled days on the Borana Conservancy, which boasts an incredible diversity of rare and endangered wildlife, and activities that range from rhino tracking to horseback riding and after-dark game drives.   

Your next stop is Shompole Wilderness, a family-owned, exclusive-use safari camp made up of just six tents. Days are entirely at your leisure, and can be filled with guided walks with Maasai guides, kayaking down the Ewaso Ngiro River and insightful cultural visits. After experiencing Kenya’s incredible wildlife, you’ll journey to stunning Diani Beach for a five-night stay at one of the finest private villas on the East African coast.

    Day 1 London - Nairobi 
    London - Nairobi 

    Flying into Nairobi, you’ll be warmly met and transferred to your elegant boutique hotel in the suburb of Karen. Set amid 25 acres of lush tropical gardens away from the hustle and bustle of the centre, it’s the perfect spot to unwind and recharge after your flight.   

    Stay: One night at the House of Waine 

    Day 2-4 Borana Conservancy, Laikipia

    Leaving Nairobi behind, today you will journey into the wilds of Laikipia to stay at an extravagant private country house on the Borana Conservancy. The conservancy itself sprawls for over 32,000 acres and is home to an incredible diversity of wildlife including elephant, lion, Jackson’s hartebeest, reticulated giraffe, leopard, striped hyena, Grevy’s zebra and both black and white rhino. Plus, over 350 different species of bird.  

    You can enjoy wildlife sightings on foot, by open vehicle and even on horseback, with experienced and novice riders both catered for. Rhino tracking is a particular highlight and a great way to learn more about these endangered species whose numbers have flourished in the area in recent years. Quad biking, overnight fly camping and helicopter rides can also be arranged, and the conservancy even has its own dam for fishing and stand-up paddle boarding. With a waterhole located close to the house, you may prefer to spot wildlife from the comfort of your own room.

    Your Kenya adventure now brings you to Shompole Wilderness, a family-operated safari camp set on the game-rich Shompole Conservancy at the bottom of the Great Rift Valley.  

    As an exclusive-use property, days here are entirely at your disposal. Enjoy walks and game drives with local Maasai guides for up-close sightings of zebra, wildebeest, lion, giraffe and elephant, as well as over 450 species of birds. The crocodile-free Ewaso Ngiro River offers safe kayaking, swimming and river tubing, while visits to the stunning nearby lakes of Magadi and Natron (with their impressive display of colours and flamingos) is always a highlight. For a unique experience, head to the nearby Lale’enok Resource Centre which offers visitors the rare opportunity to walk with habituated baboons. Meanwhile, cultural visits are a wonderful way to learn more about the largely unchanged life of the Maasai.

    After six nights of incredible wildlife adventures, you’ll set off for the Kenyan coast to unwind at the luxurious Alfajiri, a selection of three totally exclusive, self-contained private villas overlooking the Indian Ocean.  

    Set on a quieter part of Diani Beach, one of the most beautiful stretches of sand in East Africa, your stay can be as relaxed or as adventurous as you like. You can spend your days lounging on impeccable beaches and by infinity edge pools, birdwatching in mangroves, snorkelling vibrant reefs, kite surfing, dhow cruising and exploring the waterfalls of nearby Shimba Hills National Reserve. There’s also an 18-hole championship golf course on your doorstep. Or, if you prefer, simply indulge yourself in complete relaxation at the spa.  

    Stay: Five nights at Alfajiri Villas 

    Day 13-14 Diani Beach -  London 

    Leaving beautiful Diani Beach behind, today you will return to Nairobi to catch your return flight back to London.
