Combining unique luxury tented accommodation with wonderful food and warm hospitality, the four star Paperbark Camp is a peaceful bush retreat in Jervis Bay. Just over two hours drive from Sydney on the unspoilt south coast of NSW, Jervis Bay is a nature lovers paradise with spectacular coastal scenery, clear and calm water for swimming and pristine white sand beaches for strolling and relaxing on. The property has some easy walking trails that meander through paperbark, gum and mangrove forests and complimentary bikes and canoes are provided for guests’ enjoyment.
Placed thoughtfully amongst the soaring eucalypts and intriguing paperbarks, the twelve Safari Tents are built above the ground for your privacy and comfort and feature wrap around verandah, hardwood flooring, full insect screening, solar powered lighting, quality cotton linen and outdoor private en-suite, perfect for bird-watching while you unwind under a steaming hot shower. Deluxe Safari Tents also have a free standing bath-with-a-view and the latest in contemporary furnishings.
The Gunyah Restaurant is located at the heart of the camp, built high off the ground to enjoy the sea breeze and a wonderful position amongst the tree tops. The restaurant serves fresh local produce and menus change regularly according to the season. Resident guests are welcome to use the Gunyah throughout the day and evening and are free to help themselves to coffee and tea at their leisure. Please note the dining room only seats 40 people and at weekends and peak holiday periods they are regularly booked out. We recommend booking early to avoid disappointment – please contact your consultant should you wish to book a table.
