The historic Chateau Yering is a gracious five star hotel with period fittings throughout, offering luxury accommodation, service and dining. This beautifully restored Victorian mansion borders the Yarra River and is set amidst established gardens dating from 1854. The hotel lounges are a showcase for fine paintings and antique furniture.
The accommodation consists of thirty two luxurious suites, individually decorated with antiques and fine furnishings. River Suites feature a king size bed, en-suite with a claw foot bath and separate shower and a balcony or verandah with views of the grounds to distant hills. Stable Suites, located in historic stable block, offer a cosy open log fire, antique four-poster bed, large spa bath and a patio overlooking the garden. Yarra Suites have a luxurious bedroom with king size bed, spa bath with a separate shower and living room leading out onto a private balcony with sweeping views of the Yarra Valley. The large Yering Suite has its own private staircase leading up to a large sitting room. Other features include an antique half tester bed, corner spa bath and separate shower and balconies facing the gardens and distant hills from the bedroom and living room.
The hotel's two restaurants offer fine local produce and are complemented by outstanding Yarra Valley wines from their historic cellar built in 1840. Please note Eleonore’s Restaurant has a smart casual dress code (gentlemen to wear a collared shirt, no denim).
