Museum Hotel, Cappadocia

Made up of restored ruins, cave dwellings and ancient stone houses, the Museum Hotel is one of the most unique properties in all of Turkey.

Set within the remarkably beautiful landscape of Cappadocia, this innovative hotel is an authentic living museum full of historical artefacts from the Hittite, Roman, Seljuk and Ottoman periods. Individually decorated with priceless antique furnishings and modern facilities, every room has its own special ambience. The evocatively named Sultan’s Cave Suite, reached via a private cave tunnel, is particularly atmospheric with its traditional stone workmanship and spectacular views over Cappadocia.

You can also soak up stunning panoramas from the outdoor terrace, and savour delicious Turkish cuisine at the Lil’a restaurant. Most of the ingredients are supplied by local farmers, as well as grown on the hotel’s own 500-acre farm. During your stay, you’ll be treated to a variety of unique experiences, from hot air balloon rides to view the area’s famous hoodoos to cooking lessons and massages in a hidden valley. Spa treatments can be enjoyed in the comfort of your own cave.

  • What was particularly impressive was the way in which Catherine listened to what we like to do and combined all of this in a destination we would not have considered - a truly terrific effort.
