The naturalist guides here are incredibly knowledgeable and passionate about the area, and will lead you on exciting walks, jeep rides and river safaris in search of tigers, leopards, rhinos, swamp deer and birds. You can also accompany the resident elephants down to the river to bathe, or take it easy with a book in the lodge’s secluded gardens. For an insight into local culture, guided tours of the nearby villages can be arranged.

The lodge itself is the epitome of understated luxury. Designed in keeping with local Tharu architecture, the guestrooms come adorned in natural colours, soft fabrics and locally sourced furnishings. Natural light illuminates each space. In line with Tiger Tops’ commitment to responsible tourism, the lodge is run almost entirely on solar power, and they grow their own organic fruit and vegetables on the grounds.
