Norway Cruise with Hamish Van Gruisen

We begin in Norway’s stylish capital, Oslo, set beside the Oslofjord and surrounded by forests and known for its striking waterfront architecture, world-class museums, vibrant food scene, and relaxed atmosphere. We leave Oslo by train, on one of the most beautiful railway journeys in the world, taking in some of Norway’s most dramatic scenery, to Norway’s second city of Bergen, picturesque port and historic trade hub for the Hanseatic League.

Here we board the Norwegian HS Havila Pollux for its six-night northbound voyage from Bergen to Kirkenes. We will have the opportunity to see some of the world’s most beautiful fjords, visit the historic Viking capital of Trondheim and experience local Sami culture. We cross the Arctic Circle passing the beautiful Lofoten Islands and stopping at the vibrant city of Tromsø, ‘Gateway to the Arctic’, before following Norway’s northern coastline to the North Cape considered the northernmost point in Europe with spectacular views over the Barents Sea.

During our voyage we will enjoy private shore excursions, exclusively for our group. We will experience the midnight sun and encounter some of the most exciting wildlife imaginable including reindeer, the majestic sea eagle, vast colonies of sea birds, whales and seals.
