The unitensive farmland is alive with birds, scrub-filled gullies providing breeding habitat for Corn Buntings, Red-backed Shrikes, Nightingales, Subalpine and Orphean Warblers and vast conifer forests provide the best chance for the impressive Black Woodpecker.
