A RAINFOREST BASE NEAR ANDASIBE-MANTADIA
Mantadia Lodge is located just outside Andasibe, in Madagascar, within easy reach of Andasibe-Mantadia National Park and the Analamazaotra Special Reserve. The setting looks out across dense rainforest, with mist often rising through the valley in the early morning and the call of indri lemurs carrying through the trees.
The property comprises around two dozen rooms and suites, each with a private terrace or balcony facing the forest. Interiors are contemporary and uncluttered, with warm wood finishes and large windows that maximise natural light and views. Family rooms are available, making it a practical choice for those travelling with children while retaining a sense of space and privacy.
After time spent on guided walks in the national park, the lodge provides welcome comfort. A 25-metre infinity pool is positioned to take in the surrounding forest canopy. There is also a small spa offering massage treatments inspired by local botanicals, along with a restaurant and bar serving a mix of Malagasy and international dishes.
