Maison Bleue & Riad Maison Bleue

La Maison Bleue was built in 1915 by Sidi Mohammed El Abbadi, a famous judge and astrologer. It is still owned and managed by this prominent Fassi family and when staying at this beautifully renovated, authentic Moorish residence, a haven of peace in the heart of the Medina, you are, first and foremost, their very welcome house guest.

Six air-conditioned rooms - five royal suites and one junior suite - are arranged over the first and second floors. Other features of La Maison Bleue include a delightful atrium, a reading room and a rooftop terrace with views over the medina. It is also home to one of the most distinguished restaurants in Fez. A body treatment or massage in the Spa provides a welcome antidote to the heat and dust of the souk.

Just a 10-minute walk away, is the Riad Maison Bleue, with 13 rooms and suites built around a central garden courtyard with a delightful little swimming pool which guests at the Maison Bleue are also free to use.

  • I do not think that we have ever had so much care and attention from a travel company, which just goes to show that (in a good way), you do get what you pay for.
