Positioned on twenty two acres on Ganges Harbour, Salt Spring Island the house offers a casually-elegant atmosphere. The heart of the seaside hotel is a magnificent 11th century Sussex-style Manor House overlooking the harbour.
The Manor House now hosts the Dining Room, Kitchen, the Snug, and the Living Room, with its large cowl-shaped Inglenook fireplace. Here guests are served Afternoon Tea and Cocktails, and are welcome to enjoy a good book or game at any time of day.
Salt Spring Island offers a range of shops and galleries, and many choices for outdoor and water activities, such as biking, hiking, fishing, sailing, diving, kayaking, tennis, golf, garden and winery tours.
Eighteen unique guest rooms and suites, each with its own décor and history, are situated in seven buildings around the estate.
Start the day with a complimentary wakeup hamper of steaming coffee or tea and a freshly baked muffin delivered to your door. Follow at your leisure with an English Breakfast served in the Manor House. A multi-course dinner served in the Dining Room or Verandah, features Salt Spring Island lamb, fresh local seafood and produce from the estate gardens and orchards.
You can order a gourmet picnic basket or backpack to sustain you through the day’s activities, or drop into the dining room between 15:30 and 16:30 to enjoy the complimentary Afternoon Tea. The Spa at Hastings House includes beauty and wellness therapies; relaxation massage, purifying facials and rejuvenating body wraps. No children under fifteen.
