Knight Inlet Lodge, British Columbia

Grizzly bears roam free around this remote lodge floating on the waters of beautiful Glendale Cove.

British Columbia is one of the prime spots in the world for seeing wild bears, and at Knight Inlet, you’ll be able to observe them up close as they feed along the Glendale River. Professional guides lead guests on daily excursions in the Great Bear Rainforest to enjoy unobstructed but discreet views of bears as they swim, forage and play with their cubs. Whether you’re watching from a boat or one of the specially constructed viewing platforms, the experience is nothing short of spectacular.

As well as bear viewing, Knight Inlet’s menu of activities include seasonal whale watching tours, kayaking, hiking and scenic boat rides on Glendale Cove. When you’re not experiencing the great outdoors, you can relax in one of the cosy lounges and drink in the picturesque scenery through large picture windows. Guestrooms are rustic yet comfortably furnished with cedar panelling, queen beds and private bathrooms.
