London – Halifax
Depart from London on an overnight flight to Halifax, arriving in the afternoon. You will be met and taken to your hotel overlooking the harbour. You can spend your time here visiting the Maritime Museum of the Atlantic with its superb collection of shipwreck artefacts, and the national historic site of Pier 21. Today you make the overnight journey to Quebec City via the VIA Rail, taking in the beautiful scenery of Canada’s east coast along the way. You will travel in style aboard the luxurious Ocean train in Sleeper Plus Class which offers spacious seating, cosy cabins and full course meals. Head to the dome car to relax and take in panoramic views of the passing landscape.
You arrive in historic Quebec City, the second oldest existing European settlement in Canada. The lower town houses the Museum of Québec as well as Place-Royal – the site of the first permanent settlement in New France.

Now you say goodbye to Montreal and board the train to Ottawa. The ride takes less than two hours through verdant green landscapes. You’ll find plenty of interesting museums and galleries, whilst the blend of cultures at ByWard Market showcases the city’s cosmopolitan character. The winding pathways around the Rideau Canal offer a peaceful place to stroll.

A four and a half hour train journey now brings you into Toronto, Canada’s largest city and a hub of culture, business and art. There are so many things to see and do in this self-proclaimed Megacity, but the Harbour front is particularly popular with its lakeside walk and entertainment venues. Your sophisticated hotel sits just steps from top landmarks like the Design Exchange and 533 metre tall CN Tower.
The following day you will set off to visit the natural wonder that is Niagara Falls, travelling by coach through the orchard-filled Niagara Peninsula. Toronto – Vancouver
An incredible journey lies ahead. Today you will board the Canadian train and embark on one of the world’s greatest and longest rail journeys to Vancouver. The route takes four days in total to complete, and will take you through a stunning parade of landscapes featuring the shimmering lakes of northern Ontario, the western plains of the Prairies and the iconic Canadian Rockies. The journey concludes on the Pacific coast of British Columbia in Vancouver, where you will catch a taxi to your hotel.
