Ingonish & Cape Breton
On day 10 you will journey to Ingonish where you will be ideally placed for explorations in Cape Breton Highlands National Park. The park is rich in interesting wildlife and beautiful scenery featuring woodland, tundra, lakes and streams. There are numerous trails to explore, ranging from leisurely walks to more challenging hikes.
The famous Cabot Trail will take you on a journey around Cape Breton’s northern shore up to the incredible plateaus of Cape Breton Highlands National Park. The road is carved into the mountain sides high above the waters of St Lawrence, with numerous lookouts that offer sensational coastal vistas. Be on the lookout for soaring eagles and pods of whales just offshore.
