London – Johannesburg – Matusadona
Depart from London Heathrow in the evening to arrive in Johannesburg early the next day. Your connecting flight will take you to Harare, where a light aircraft will be waiting to take you to Matusadona. You’ll reach your lodge after a 25-minute boat ride.
Matusadona National Park sits on the shores of Lake Kariba – the world’s largest artificial lake – and is home to an abundance of elephants, an impressive lion population and many birds including fish eagles and cormorants.
Early morning game walks, boat cruises across the lake and photography focused game drives are just a few of the activities you can enjoy whilst at Changa Safari Camp. From your lodge, you’ll have a stunning lake view, and can spend your evenings relaxing around a fire pit on a white-sanded beach just steps from the main deck.

Mana Pools National Park
Today you will take another light aircraft, this time to Mana Pools where a guide from Little Ruckomechi will transfer you to the camp on the banks of the Zambezi River. Located in a private concession area and with only three luxurious canvas tents, Ruckomechi offers an intimate and personal safari experience.
Lying at the heart of the Zambezi Valley, Mana Pools National Park is a secluded, beautiful place with sensational views of the Zambezi River, floodplains, tree canopies and mountains of the Rift Valley. The park gets its name from four pools – remnants of dried up channels of the Zambezi River – that attract a wide variety of wildlife.
You can expect excellent populations of buffalo and elephant, while predators such as lion, wild dog, leopard and cheetah are often sighted. Keen birdwatchers will also find a fantastic variety of birdlife, with local species like collared palm-thrush, racket-tailed roller and black-throated wattle-eyes to look out for. Enjoy safari activities in open 4×4 vehicles, on motorised pontoon boats, on foot, in hides and canoes.

Bid goodbye to Mana Pools and take a light aircraft back to Harare, where you will board another flight to Johannesburg. Your flight to London Heathrow leaves in the evening, and you’ll arrive early the next morning.
