Exhilarating walks in Hwange National Park, visits to the thundering Victoria Falls and game drives through the enchanting Matobo Hills all feature on this Simply Zimbabwe itinerary.
You start with what is ranked amongst the world’s greatest natural spectacles – the Victoria Falls. You can get up close to the cascades in a boat, but perhaps the best way to appreciate the grandeur of the Falls is from above in a helicopter ride known as the ‘flight of angels’. Regardless of the angle, the view of this Natural Wonder of the World never disappoints.
Next comes excursions in Hwange National Park, the largest reserve in the country at over one million hectares. Across woodlands, grasslands and scrub you’ll encounter various animals such as elephant, buffalo, lion, southern giraffe and spotted hyena who coexist alongside a myriad of multi-coloured birds. You’ll finish in the mystical region of Matobo Hills, a boulder-strewn area of granite kopjes, hills and valleys formed many millennia ago.
