El Casco Art Hotel, Patagonia

The modern version of El Caso was designed as an art hotel; a kind of living (and live-in) exhibition of over 500 original Argentine paintings and sculptures. And the surrounding countryside certainly plays its part. The lake, reflecting the deep greens and browns of the forest and the white-capped mountains beyond, gives a whole new meaning to the phrase ‘water colours’.

The setting is undeniably picturesque and the paintings truly aesthetic. But part of the art of El Casco is in the way it caters for you. All of the rooms have splendid views that’ll have you reaching for your camera, or brushes. The food is both award-winning and prepared from local produce. The rooms are extremely stylish and comfortable. Definitely one to add to your collection.
