You will, after all, be attempting to relate the sensation of climbing upwards, ever upwards, towards the summit of Sugar Loaf Mountain in a perilously-suspended cable car.
You’ll be telling your friends about the emotion of standing high up on Corcovado beside the mighty statue of Christ the Redeemer – one of the most iconic figures in the world.
You will also have wandered along Copacabana beach at sunset and have visited the Iguazu Falls, the planet’s mightiest parade of crashing waterfalls, as well as relaxing in a tiny fishing village at Buzios.

Today you fly back to Rio where you’ll be met at the airport and driven north to Buzios, a charming fishing village set on a beautiful peninsula with over 20 beaches and hidden coves nearby. As well as lazing on the beach or strolling along to watch the locals bring in the daily catch, you can enjoy a variety of water sports.
Heading away from the coast you can take a tour into the interior to see tranquil lakes and mangroves and visit the Emerencias Ecological Reserve to watch wildlife like monkeys, exotic birds and see indigenous flowers, shrubs and trees.
