Chile, diverse and dramatic, 2600 miles top to bottom from the Atacama Desert in the North, through the central wine valleys, to Torres del Paine and the ice fields of the South.
We cannot explore it all in ten days so we have created a holiday during which you see some of the highlights as well as explore lesser known areas, picking up a flavour of true Chile. There is some walking and riding for those inclined with opportunities for fishing and, for the more adventurous, rafting and glacier hiking. The holiday is a little bit of all that we love, centred around delicious food, exceptional wines, good humour and in great comfort.
SANTIAGO – Where your journey through Chile begins, staying in the fashionable suburb of Las Condes. Outstanding cuisine and vibrant nightlife, we have found some hidden gems for the start and end of the holiday.
COLCHAGUA VALLEY – The heart of wine country is just 2 hours south of Santiago within the shadow of the Andes. We arrive in time for tea and a swim at this enchanting house which has beautiful gardens set within the grounds of a family run vineyard. 2 nights.
CURICO VALLEY – Concentrating on Chilean and Latin American cuisine with one of Chile's top chefs, relax in tranquillity by the pool surrounded by trees laden with fruit. There is also riding, walking and cycling. 2 nights.
NORTHERN PATAGONIA – Northern Patagonia is a fabulous area of Chile, we have a diverse programme planned, walking, riding and days away marvelling at this magnificent scenery whilst drifting down the Baker River. You can choose to do as much or a little as you like. The lodge is surrounded by lakes and glaciers seemingly and literally miles away from the rigour of modern life. 4 nights.
