Situated on Phuket's west coast, the usual trappings of a first class hotel are enhanced by a mood of elegance and stylish discretion which is such a feature of every Aman property.
The resort's 40 beautifully decorated Thai-style pavilions and villa homes are scattered around a coconut palm-shaded hillside, sloping down to the large, freshwater swimming pool, overlooking the broad white-sand sweep of Pansea Beach and its pristine, sheltered cove.
The pool-side Terrace restaurant, which serves Thai and European specialities, offers casual, allday al fresco dining, whilst The Restaurant serves Italian cuisine. Weather permitting, lunches and evening torch-lit barbecues are held at the Beach Terrace. Room service is available 24 hours a day.
The renowned Aman Spa, which has six spacious Thai-style treatment pavilions, is set in a secluded coconut grove. There is also a sauna and steam room, and separate open-sided teak salas for meditation and yoga sessions. A beach-side gym is also available.
An extensive variety of activities include diving and snorkelling, windsurfing, water skiing, sailing, tennis or golf, which may be arranged at a course close by. In addition, the resort offers fullycrewed boats for exclusive overnight and day charters, as well as for romantic dinner and cocktail cruises. Possible excursions include Phang Nga Bay with its array of spectacular limestone outcroppings, Koh Kai Nok, Krabi, the Similan Islands with their excellent dive spots and the Phi Phi islands which featured in the film, The Beach.
