This captivating journey you will lead you through the dramatic mountain scenery of the Rockies, with its glistening glacial lakes, craggy summits and enchanting valleys, before taking you to meet the unforgettable wildlife of Vancouver Island.

 

But first you’ll start in Banff, an area defined by its majestic mountain backdrop and exquisite viewpoints. You’ll have the opportunity to hike, bike, and raft, and take a helicopter flight over the brilliant blue waters of Lake Louise. You’ll leave Banff via the spectacular Icefields Parkway and head to Jasper, a charming rural town buried deep in the Alberta Rockies. The jaw-dropping photographic opportunities continue as you explore the Maligne Canyon and tiny Spirit Island.

You’ll then have the pleasure of boarding one most scenic train journeys on the planet, The Rocky Mountaineer, which will take you past a parade of astonishing vistas until you reach Vancouver. You’ll enjoy a fabulous seaplane dinner in the city, before hopping on a ferry over to Vancouver Island. Here you have the marvellous opportunity to observe black bears foraging along the fjords of Clayquot Sound, and watch from a Zodiac boat as stunning gray and humpback whales break the surface of the water.

Now it’s time to experience one of the world’s great, classic rail journeys. On board the Rocky Mountaineer, you will travel through scenic valleys, rolling plateaus and snowy peaks, taking in truly dramatic sights like the magnificent Pyramid Falls and the highest peak in the Rockies – Mount Robson. You’ll stop for the night at Kamloops.

Your journey to Vancouver continues the next day, taking in the rushing waters of ‘Hell’s Gate’ in the Fraser Canyon and the mighty Fraser River.
