The thundering Victoria Falls, exhilarating walks through Hwange National Park and the enchanting Matobo Hills come together to bring you a memorable Zimbabwe experience.

You start by visiting one of the world’s greatest natural spectacles – the legendary Victoria Falls. You can get up close in a boat, but to really appreciate its grandeur you can soar above the Falls in a helicopter ride known as the ‘flight of angels’. Regardless of the angle, the view won’t disappoint.

Next comes excursions in the wildlife-rich Hwange National Park, the largest reserve in the country at over one million hectares. In woodlands, grasslands and scrub you’ll encounter animals such as elephant, buffalo, lion, southern giraffe, spotted hyena and a myriad of colourful birds. You’ll finish in the mystical region of Matobo, a boulder-strewn area of granite kopjes, hills and valleys formed many millennia ago.

This is a sample itinerary to inspire your holiday – it can be tweaked in every way possible from the places you want to go to and number of days you spend in each, as well as hotels you stay in and activities you do. Your lodge is ideally situated on the Zimbabwean side of the mighty Zambezi River – within walking distance of the magnificent Victoria Falls. Understandably ranking amongst the World’s Seven Natural Wonders, the sheer scale of the Falls will take your breath away. It consists of a mile-long string of cascades that pour into a plunging gorge, causing great clouds of spray to rise above the ravine. Aside from the Falls, there are historical sites to visit, wildlife to spot and activities in the pristine natural surroundings to enjoy.
