London – Johannesburg
Check in to London Heathrow. Your flight to Johannesburg leaves in the evening.
Arriving in the morning, you will hop on a flight to Victoria Falls arriving just after midday. A light aircraft will bring you to Kasane, where you will be taken to your lodge in the Victoria Falls town.
Your lodge is ideally situated on the Zimbabwean side of the mighty Zambezi River – within walking distance of the magnificent Victoria Falls. Understandably ranking amongst the World’s Seven Natural Wonders, the sheer scale of the Falls will take your breath away. It consists of a mile-long string of cascades that pour into a plunging gorge, causing great clouds of spray to rise above the ravine. Aside from the Falls, there are historical sites to visit, wildlife to spot and activities in the pristine natural surroundings to enjoy.

Hwange National Park
Your journey continues at Hwange National Park, where you will be staying in a thatched chalet overlooking a permanent waterhole where many animals come to drink. Camp Hwange offers an authentic safari experience, with walking being one of the main activities. On foot, you will not only get a chance to see the bigger animals, but also the smaller, lesser known species sometimes missed in a vehicle. Expert guides will lead excursions, and let you in on the secrets of the African bush.

On day eight you will be driven to your lodge in the UNESCO-listed Matobo Hills, home to some of the most breath-taking granite scenery in the world. Here you can find granite domes and castle kopjes formed millions of years ago, and trace the history of the San Bushmen in the ancient rock paintings. Wildlife is prolific, with leopards, antelopes, zebra, ostrich and black and white rhino all present, not to mention birds such as cut-throat finch, black kites, broad-billed rollers and black eagles.
You will be led through this enchanting area by knowledgeable and professional guides, enjoying a historic trek to Rhodes’ grave, sunset hikes to the tops of granite dwalas, visits to renowned caves and game drives into the National Park.
Tucked away amongst the hills in an ancient bushman’s shelter, Camp Amalinda perfectly complements the spiritual energy, allure and unique beauty of its surroundings. Rooms are set within the granite boulders and each have their own unique style.
