AFRICA’S GREATEST WILDLIFE SANCTUARIES

The very first safari camp to open in Zambia, Nsefu holds a prime position in one of Africa’s greatest wildlife sanctuaries.

Make Nsefu a feature on your tailor-made itinerary to Zambia and you’ll discover you simply couldn’t ask for a better location. Sitting on a bend of the mighty Luangwa River, Nsefu is one of only two camps located within the Nsefu sector – an exclusive area renowned for its richness of game. There is the opportunity for day and night game drives, walking safaris and boat rides, but you don’t even have to leave camp to encounter the region’s wildlife. The bar overlooks a waterhole and offers a cosy spot from which to observe a variety of species – from lions to zebra – that frequently come down to the lagoon to drink.

The camp has a long history dating back to 1951 when it became Zambia’s first ever safari camp, and though it has since been beautifully refurbished it retains much of its original style. The six original thatch and brick rondavels today are stylish with modern amenities and uninterrupted views over the river. The dining room also boasts beautiful water views, where you can enjoy watching herds of elephants make their daily river crossings.

“SEAMLESSLY ORGANISED, TRULY UNFORGETTABLE”
The itinerary was spot on. Claire really listened and understood the kind of holiday I wanted – from the hotels to the pace of the trip. The team on the ground were exceptional: friendly, efficient, and always one step ahead, helping with everything from flight check-ins to tax-free procedures at the end. The guides were knowledgeable and genuinely helpful. I had an amazing time. Thank you!

“HOLIDAY GUIDANCE THAT MAKES ALL THE DIFFERENCE”

The destinations were fabulous, but what really stood out was the care and patience Tania showed as she guided me and my sister through every question and hesitation. Nothing felt rushed or too much trouble. The result? A truly wonderful holiday. Thank you.

“WONDERFUL TREK IN NEPAL AND VISIT TO TIGER RESERVE”
From our very first phone call, The Ultimate Travel Company provided excellent service. We shared our ideas and they came back with a proposal that included everything we wanted – then improved it with thoughtful suggestions. We were especially impressed that our tailor-made holiday was competitively priced. Once on the ground, everything ran smoothly. We were met at each airport, stayed in fantastic hotels, and had a brilliant guide for our trek. A truly enjoyable and well-managed trip from start to finish.
